The ILX56-PBS PROFIBUS DPV1 Multi-Slave module allows Rockwell Automation® ControlLogix® processors to communicate on a PROFIBUS DP protocol network by emulating up to 10 individual slave devices. This multi-slave support of the module provides the ability to pass up to 2440 bytes of input and output data as high-speed cyclic I/O data on a PROFIBUS DP network. Combined with the use of multiple I/O connections back to the ControlLogix processor, this module provides data update rates that will meet even the most demanding of PROFIBUS DP applications. In addition, with the use of the PLX50 Configuration Utility you have advanced features such as custom-built Add-On Routines and a PROFIBUS DP packet capture utility to minimize the amount of time and effort in getting a ControlLogix PAC operating on a PROFIBUS DP network.
